Coach Reese Reyna brings a championship mindset, high-level collegiate experience, and a passion for player development to the Just Dawgs softball program. A four-year standout infielder from Santa Fe, Texas, Reese built a decorated career at the collegiate level, earning multiple All-Conference and All-Louisiana honors while becoming one of the most consistent and versatile players in her program.
Throughout her college career, Reese was recognized for both performance and leadership. She was named All-Southland Conference (Second Team) twice, earned a spot on the SLC All-Defensive Team, was selected to the SLC All-Tournament Team, and was honored as the SLC Tournament MVP. Known for her speed, instincts, and defensive reliability, she was a consistent presence in the lineup, starting nearly every game across four seasons and contributing as a high-contact hitter, base stealer, and run producer.
Reese’s work ethic extended beyond the field, as she earned placement on the SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll all four years, reflecting her commitment to excellence both academically and athletically. Her collegiate career was highlighted by strong offensive production, aggressive base running, and dependable infield defense, making her a well-rounded and respected competitor.
Before college, Reese was a standout at Santa Fe High School, where she earned multiple Defensive Player of the Year honors, First Team All-District and All-County selections, and helped lead her teams to district, bi-district, and area championships. She also competed at a high national level with the 18U Hotshots Premier club program, including a USA ASA Gold National Runner-Up finish and TFL Championship.
As a coach, Reese is passionate about developing confident, fundamentally sound athletes. She emphasizes defensive excellence, situational awareness, base-running IQ, and a competitive team-first mentality. Her playing experience at both the high school, elite club, and collegiate levels allows her to connect with athletes and guide them through the demands of competitive softball, on and off the field.

• Recorded 85 total bases and a .528 slugging percentage
• Key defensive contributor with 109 assists and participated in 10 double plays
• 2025 All-SLC (2nd team), 2025 SLC All-Defensive Team, 2025 SLC All-Tournament
• Helped McNeese capture the Southland Conference regular season championship
2024 JUNIOR
• Played in and started in all 58 games
• Had a .242 batting average with 32 hits, 21 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples and 17 RBI
• Stole 13 of 16 bases and had 19 walks

2023 SOPHOMORE
• Played in and started in 61 games
• Tied for a team high 25 stolen bases and 34 runs scored
• Second on the team with a .309 batting average, 55 hits, 74 total bases, 16 walks, and a .371 on base percent

• Third on the team with 24 RBI and fourth on the team with a .416 slugging percent
