Coach David Reyna V brings a wealth of high‑level collegiate baseball experience and a proven competitive track record to the Just Dawgs baseball coaching staff. A native of Santa Fe, Texas, David excelled at the University of Arkansas‑Monticello, finishing his career as one of the most productive and respected players in the Great American Conference.

During his time at Arkansas‑Monticello, David was widely recognized for his offensive prowess and all‑around game. He earned 2019 ABCA/Rawlings All‑Region First Team and 2019 First Team All‑Conference honors, showcasing his bat‑to‑ball ability and impact at the plate. David also stood out nationally, being named to the 2020 Collegiate Baseball “Blue Chip NCAA Division II Players to Watch” list and selected as a 2020 Preseason All‑American, reflecting high expectations from coaches and media alike entering his senior campaign.

On the field, Reyna consistently led by example. In 2019 he was among the team leaders across key offensive categories, posting a standout season pace with a team‑leading batting average of .393, on‑base percentage of .464 and slugging percentage of .634, while also contributing 19 stolen bases — demonstrating both power and speed at the collegiate level. He was also recognized as the GAC Player of the Week for his outstanding performances in conference play.

David’s baseball journey is defined by his competitiveness, work ethic and deep understanding of the game. His experience as a top performer in NCAA Division II competition allows him to relate directly to developing athletes and provide instruction rooted in performance‑tested fundamentals.

As a coach, David focuses on helping hitters develop confidence and consistency, improving bat‑to‑ball skills, approach at the plate, and baserunning aggressiveness. With his background as a successful collegiate outfielder and offensive leader, he brings insight, passion and a player‑first coaching style to every practice and game.
