Cooper Davenport is a multisport athlete competing for his middle school and select/travel teams. He excels in baseball, basketball, and track-and-field, but outshines most in the classroom where he is an “A” Honor Roll student. He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and Student Council. He is also an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where he volunteers his time as an altar server.

Cooper has been playing for the Just DAWGS-Black select baseball team since the organization’s inception in August 2020. Words that describe Cooper’s character are “team player”, “baseball IQ”, and “coachable”, and it is showcased by the coaches trusting him to play all positions except for one on the field (the only position he has NOT played is 1st base).

Cooper’s primary positions are 3rd base and catcher. Cooper loves every part of these two positions because of the technical skills that go into playing such high-profile positions. On the defensive side of the game, Cooper can be relied upon to give the team meaningful innings to keep the team in a position to win most games. On the offensive side, Cooper consistently hits .300+ for average and has been known to give opposing teams fits on the basepaths.

Over the past two years, Cooper has helped his team win five championship titles. He competed with Just DAWGS at the USSSA 13U World Series Tournament in Panama City Beach, Florida, where the DAWGS brought home a Finalist title and were featured in The Galveston Daily News. Cooper was selected to play in the 2022 13U Texas All-State Game (MAJOR).
